For Homestay Providers
Hosting a student can be a rewarding experience for your family.
We are seeking warm and caring Canadian families who can accommodate international (Japanese) students.
Hosting not only provides students with a chance to experience daily Canadian life, but also gives families an opportunity to learn about different cultures.
Students
Our students are generally from Japan, aged between 20 and 40 years old, but may sometimes include teens and seniors.
Japanese students are known to be very polite and quiet. They may need some encouragment to communicate effectively.
Area
Most ESL schools are in the downtown Vancouver core, and students generally want to avoid a long commute.
Commuting time to downtown Vancouver should be within one hour from your home, via public transportation.
However, we sometimes run group programs in cities surrounding Vancouver, such as Surrey. Please contact our Homestay Coordinator to find out more about relevant areas.
